Steve Rogers

Steve Rogers is the Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager at Shelton Capital Management. Steve has over 30 years of experience and joined Shelton Capital in 1993. He earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. from the University of Iowa.

Dennis Clark

Dennis Clark joined the firm in January 2011 and is responsible for developing sales, marketing,  and strategy initiatives. Dennis had a long career as a senior executive at Charles Schwab and for the prior ten years as president of Advisor Partners. Dennis earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Oregon.

Greg Pusch

Greg Pusch is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Greg joined the firm in March 2017 with a background of leading legal and compliance functions at firms including HarbourVest Partners and Pyramis Global Advisors (a unit of Fidelity Investments) in Boston. Greg also practiced investment management law at Ropes & Gray and Paul, Hastings. He received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania and served as a naval officer after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Derek Izuel, CFA

Derek joined Shelton Capital Management in January 2022 as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of the International Fund and the Emerging Markets Fund. He has over 24 years of portfolio management experience at Invesco, HighMark Capital and Vitruvian Capital. Derek earned his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkley.

Josh Fudge

Josh Fudge joined Shelton Capital Management in 2019.  He is a member of the Advisory Services Team with a focused responsibility on sales and marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Shelton Capital Management, Josh held various roles in the investment industry most recently with RBC Wealth Management where he was responsible for investment analysis and client growth. The majority of Josh’s career has been focused on sales and distribution as a Director with WHV Investments, a VP at SteelPath/OppenheimerFunds, and various positions at Janus Capital Group. Away from work he enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time outdoors with his wife, three children, and their dog Bailey.

Josh is a graduate of Miami University (Oxford, OH).

Ryan Groves

Ryan Groves joined Shelton Capital Management in April of 2016. Ryan is a member of the Advisory Services Team with a focused responsibility on sales and marketing initiatives across the intermediary advisor channels. 

Prior to joining Shelton Capital Management, Ryan has held sales and client service positions with WHV Investments, ALPS Funds, and State Street Bank. 

Ryan lives in Denver with his wife, Stephanie and their young daughter, Piper. Ryan spends a lot of his free time racing BMW’s in a semi-pro racing league.

Ryan graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Business and Art History.

Matt Gunter

Matt Gunter joined Shelton Capital Management in 2021. He is a member of the Advisory Services Team with a focused responsibility on sales and marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Shelton Capital Management, Matt was most recently a Director of Business Development with Segall Bryant & Hamill. Prior to that role, he held VP of Sales positions with Westcore Funds and Scout Investments, serving the RIA, Family Office and Bank Trust channels. Earlier in his career, Matt worked as a financial advisor at UBS-PaineWebber, Bankers & Investors and American Century Investments.

When he is not working, he enjoys fishing in Mexico, smoking homemade BBQ and staying physically active. Before relocating to Denver, Matt played rugby with the Kansas City Blues Rugby Club for several years and remains an active alumni member.

Director, Advisor Services (Southeast)

Jeff Medina

Jeff Medina is a member of the Advisory Services team focused on sales in both the Northeast and Southeast regions. Jeff cultivates new advisor relationships and works to enhance relationships with our existing advisor clients.

Jeff graduated from the John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University with a degree in Finance.

Prior to Shelton Capital Management, Jeff held positions ranging from fund sales to portfolio construction for ultra-high net worth clients. Jeff enjoys spending his free time playing various sports such as softball and golf while also serving on the Board of Directors for the Social Services Department in the Town of Greenwich.

David Lucier

David Lucier joined Shelton Capital Management in 2023.  He is a member of the Advisory Services Team with a focused responsibility on sales and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining Shelton Capital Management, David held various roles in the investment industry most recently with Primark Capital where he was responsible for platform placements and client growth. The majority of David’s career has been focused on the client experience and its relationship to sales and distribution. David spent the majority of his career with Janus Henderson in various distribution roles. Prior to Janus Henderson David held roles at Charles Schwab, Morgan Stanley and the Ritz-Carlton Management Company. Away from work he enjoys being with his family, skiing, biking, and the outdoors. His wife Dana and their four children all live in the Boston area.

Laura Bevill, CAIA

Laura Bevill joined Shelton Capital Management in October 2023. She is a member of the Advisory Services Team with a focused responsibility leading sales and marketing initiatives on the West Coast.

Laura joined the financial world as an investment consultant for Rogerscasey after completing her MBA in 2006.  Following the Credit Crisis, Laura represented global asset managers to investment consultants and advisors, serviced clients and launched investment funds. More recently, Laura led Advent Capital Management’s first private convertibles fund launch. In mid-2021, Laura joined SVB Capital, the capital arm of Silicon Valley Bank, to lead the launch of two private credit funds.  Previously, she held positions at BlueBay Asset Management, Fortress Investment Group and Apollo Global Management. Laura earned the CAIA designation and is currently studying for Level II of the CFA.

Laura resides in San Clemente, CA. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, surfing, and spending time with her two lovable chocolate labradors.

Jason Shidler

Jason Shidler joined Shelton Capital Management in 2023.  He is a member of the Advisory Services Team with a focused responsibility on sales and marketing initiatives.  Jason is a product management and investment specialist with over 20 years of strategic relationship development across both intermediary and institutional markets. 

Prior to joining Shelton Jason was with Robeco Asset Management for 7 years splitting roles between the Senior Director of Sales as well as Head of National Accounts.  Prior to Robeco, Jason spent 7 years with Schroders Investment Management where he was a Senior Director on their offshore sales team.  Away from work, he enjoys spending time outdoors fly fishing, skiing, and mountain biking with his family.

Jason is a graduate of Colorado State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate.

Tony Brown

Tony joined Shelton Capital Management in May 2023 through the acquisition of Rockwood Capital Advisors, LLC. Tony was a founding partner and has accumulated more than three decades of experience in the investment management industry, specifically in employee benefits, pension administration and investments. Prior to the formation of Rockwood Capital, he spent nine years with Boatmen’s Trust Company where he specialized in client service and marketing with an emphasis on public funds and jointly-trusteed benefit plans. From 1988 to 1991, Tony served as manager of Boatmen’s master trust/custody division. Previously, he was with the Bank of New York for more than ten years where he directed a master trust relationship management team.

Tony studied accounting and business administration at Pace University in New York. He is a member of the Association of Investment Management Sales Executives and the National Association of Securities Professionals.​

Alyssa Zagrobski, AIF®, CPFA

Alyssa joined Shelton Capital in January of 2024 to lead the firm’s Retirement Plan Services Division.

Prior to joining Shelton, Alyssa was a Relationship Manager with a digital record keeper managing growth and strategy for major payroll and financial service companies. Prior to her 401(k) role, she spent time working at The Hartford as a Team Lead, managing a group of financial advisors responsible for client education and sales for retirement plans totaling $2.4B in assets. She also spent time at Great West and ING, where she worked on sales and marketing efforts for the San Francisco team on the $2B City & County of San Francisco Deferred Compensation Plan. One fond memory she has was getting stuck in lockdown at a county jail during a retirement enrollment meeting with the Sheriff’s Department. Away from work, she enjoys yoga and hiking with her husband and two sons in San Francisco.

Daniel Klusty

Daniel Klusty joined Shelton Capital Management in June 2023 as a Shelton Academy Associate and is now an Advisor Services Associate. Prior to joining Shelton, Daniel attended the University of Mississippi where he earned a B.S. in Managerial Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

Alexa Tuers joined Shelton Capital Management in June of 2024. Graduating from the University of Oregon with a B.A.  in Economics, she has a foundation in economic principals and monetary analysis. Prior to Shelton, she worked with Charles Schwab specializing in customer relations and financial support. Away from the office, Alexa finds joy in outdoor activities embracing Colorado’s natural beauty by engaging in hiking, skiing and camping. Paul Laffrenzen

Paul Laffrenzen joined Shelton Capital Management in June of 2024. He is an Internal Sales Associate and a member of the Advisory Services Team with a focused responsibility on sales and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining Shelton Capital Management, Paul was a Hybrid Advisor Consultant for Segall Bryant & Hamill. He worked in partnership with the external business development team to promote SBH’s separately managed accounts (SMAs) and ’40 Act Funds to the intermediary marketplace. Paul joined the firm in May 2018 as part of SBH’s acquisition of Denver Investments. During his 14-year tenure with Denver Investments, Paul served as the National Internal Wholesaler supporting the External Sales Team. Prior to joining Denver Investments in June 2002, Paul was a Top Producer Representative for AIM Investments and, before its merger into AIM Investments, worked as a Top Producer Internal Wholesaler for Invesco Funds. Paul began his investment industry career with OppenheimerFunds where he held various Advisor and Client servicing roles. Paul has been in the investment industry since 1996.

Away from work Paul enjoys spending time with his family & friends, traveling, playing poker and fishing. He, his wife Erin and their two boys all reside in the Denver area.

Bill Mock

Bill Mock is the lead member of the portfolio management team for Shelton’s Fixed Income and Money Market funds. Bill rejoined the firm in February 2010 after serving as a portfolio manager for California Investment Trust from 2001 to 2003. Bill left the firm to join TKI Capital Management, a convertible arbitrage hedge fund, where he served as head trader through 2006.

Bill holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Barry Martin, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager for Shelton Capital Management’s Option Overlay Strategies. Mr. Martin specializes in option strategies and has been managing options for over 20 years. He received a B.S. from the University of Arizona and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.

Jeffrey Rosenkranz

Jeffrey Rosenkranz is a Portfolio Manager for the Shelton Tactical Credit Fund and the Firm’s fixed income separately managed accounts.  Jeffrey has over 23 years of experience investing in the credit markets, with an emphasis in high yield, distressed debt and special situations. Prior to joining Shelton Capital, he worked at Cedar Ridge Partners, LLC, Cooperstown Capital Management, Durham Asset Management, Ernst & Young LLP and The Delaware Bay Company. He earned an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and received a B.A. from Duke University.

Chris Walsh is a portfolio analyst for the Shelton Tactical Credit Fund and the Firm’s fixed income separately managed accounts. Chris has over six years of experience analyzing credit and equity markets. He earned a B.A. from Villanova University.

Nick Griebenow, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager for Shelton Capital Management’s Option Overlay Strategies. Mr. Griebenow has extensive knowledge in option strategies and was previously a Senior Derivatives Trader at a large national brokerage firm. He received a B.A. from Colorado State University.

Justin Sheetz, CFA

Justin joined Shelton Capital Management in January 2022 as Portfolio Manager of the International Fund and the Emerging Markets Fund. His experience ranges from 12 years as an Investment Strategist at Blackrock/BGI’s Scientific Active Equity Group, 3 years as VP and Equity Analyst at HighMark Capital to 3 years as partner at Vitruvian Capital. Justin earned his MSc in Computational Finance and Risk Management from the University of Washington and a B.A. in International Studies from Colby College.

Bruce Kahn, Ph.D.

Dr. Bruce Kahn is the lead Portfolio Manager of the Shelton Sustainable Equity Fund. Previously, Bruce was responsible for delivering technical advice to investors on MSCI’s ESG and Climate Solutions tools and data sets for investment decision making, risk management, reporting and engagement. His previous 18 years of work experience included portfolio management and other responsibilities at firms such as Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Macquarie Global Inc., and Sustainable Insight Capital Management. Dr. Kahn earned a PhD in Land Resources from University of Wisconsin, Madison, an MS in Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures from Auburn University, and a BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut. Bruce served as an Agriculture Extension Agent in the United States Peace Corps in the Republic of Cameroon, (1989-1993), as a Fulbright Scholar in Israel from 1999-2001 and has been teaching courses in Sustainable Finance, Statistics and Agriculture as an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Earth Institute since 2012.

Peter Higgins

Peter Higgins has over 25 years of experience in fixed income investing, most notably as Partner and Lead Portfolio Manager at both Ares Management and BlueBay Asset Management. Previously, Peter specialized in global leveraged finance at investment banks such as Deutsche Bank AG, Goldman Sachs & Co. and Credit Suisse in both London, England, and New York City. Peter earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics-Political Science from Columbia University.

Nicolette DiMaggio

Nicolette DiMaggio joined Shelton Capital Management in August 2023. She is an analyst of the Shelton Sustainable Equity Fund and has over six years of investment experience. Previously, she was the co-director of investment research at WTW, working on their equity and index investment research teams for four years. She is also a published author of the financial literacy book series Stock Explore.

Jason Goldenberg is a Trading Operations Analyst that services all strategies of the Separate Account program. Jason has five years of industry experience and previously worked at ALPS Fund Services. He earned a B.B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Trevor Shippee

Trevor Shippee joined Shelton Capital Management in March 2021 and is the Director of Investment Operations. He oversees the team that services both Mutual Funds and the Separate Accounts program. Trevor previously worked on fundraising and distribution at a private equity firm, Pacific Current Group. Trevor earned a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Kenny Sklar

Kenny Sklar joined Shelton Capital Management in November of 2021 and is a Senior Fund Administration Analyst servicing both Mutual Funds and the Separate Accounts program. Kenny previously worked at Fidelity Investments servicing managed accounts, working with the Premium and Private Client Groups as a broker. Kenny earned a B.S.B.A from Elon University.

Amy Grillot

Amy Grillot joined Shelton Capital Management in August 2016 as an Operations Administrator. Amy is currently the Human Resources and Advisor Operations Manager and is responsible for staffing, employee engagement and the overall administration of the firm. Amy earned a B.A. in Business Management from Kansas State University.

Andrea Reidle

Andrea (Andee) Reidle joined Shelton Capital Management in 2018. She currently supports the Compliance and Management Teams. Her focus is on day-to-day compliance administration as well as project management initiation, planning and execution for Shelton Capital throughout the year. She has dual degrees in Business Administration and Accounting, as well as a certificate in Event Management. Currently, she is working towards her IACCP designation. Prior to Shelton Capital, Andee worked as a Business Manager for New World Advisors, LLC.

Renee Calvanese joined Shelton Capital Management in June 2023 as a Shelton Academy Associate. Prior to joining Shelton, Renee worked for Drive Weather creating websites and executing marketing efforts. Carrie Della Flora joined Shelton Capital Management in 2018. Carrie manages the Client Experience team and supports the Director of Advisor Services in on-boarding Financial Advisors to our platform and cultivating these relationships. Her responsibilities also include providing authentic client service to all clients and supporting the responsibilities of the Chief Compliance Officer of our funds’ distributor, RFS Partners LP . Carrie joined Shelton Capital Management with 16 years of industry experience, recently having worked at Matrix Financial Solutions.

Payton Rupp joined Shelton Capital Management in April 2024. 

Payton Rupp joined Shelton Capital Management in April 2024 as a Client Experience Representative. Before working at Shelton, he worked at Fidelity Investments, where he obtained his SIE and worked as a Client Relationship Associate. Payton is attending Metropolitan State University and pursuing a B.S. in Finance. Clark Davis

Clark Davis joined Shelton Capital Management in 2020. He leads the Marketing team with a focused responsibility on developing new sales and marketing strategies for all of Shelton’s distribution channels: advisor, 401(k) and retail.

Prior to joining Shelton Capital Management, Clark worked as a Marketing and Sales Associate at FUSE Research for over five years, where he was responsible for a broad mandate of marketing and client support functions inclusive of digital content strategy and development, website administration, social media management, public/media relations and oversight for the planning, promotion, and management of the firm’s annual conference – The FUSE FORUM.

Clark earned a B.A. in Management from Gettysburg College, an MBA from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver.

Austin Pond joined Shelton Capital Management in September 2021. He is a Digital Marketing Associate and is responsible for quarterly marketing materials, content management, and data integration.

Prior to joining Shelton Capital Management, Austin worked in client services, account operations, and corporate communications in the financial services industry.

Austin earned a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder.
